Biography

 

Born in the underground scene of Florence, Italy, the early days of the duo Natch & Dothen is mostly recognized with their residency at the eclectic Butterfly Effect parties that also paved their way into the local Tenax: one of Europe's most important night clubs.

 

In 2013 the relentless duo became part of the Deeperfect family. Being one of the world's pioneering labels and perhaps the leading Tech House label, the choice was clear: linking the label's unique sound signature with the duo's musical concept, influenced by tribal music and funky-disco music from the seventies. 

 

This cooperation needed only a year in order to flourish: in 2014, Natch & Dothen's remix for Matt Sassari's "Dope Safari" was a big success decorating Beatport's Tech House charts for long months. This caught the attention and support of many top figures in the industry, such as Monika Kruse, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones, Yousef, Mathias Tanzman and obviously Deepefect's chef Stefano Noferini. All played Natch & Dothen's productions on the world's most important stages such as Time Warp, Circoloco, Music On and many more. 

 

By summer 2015, Natch & Dothen were already famous for their production quality and were engaged by several young talents for mutual productions. One of those was "The Owl", which they have produced together with Dj Dep (Circus Records) and which became Marco Carola's most played track in that year's Music On.

Another recent success is the fruit of their collaboration with German talent Basti Grub (Desolat, Cocoon). “Oh Baby Dance” hit Beatport's main chart first place and entered Resident Advisor's top 50 most charted tracks during the first period of 2016. 

 

This success brought Natch & Dothen to some of the most important stages in the world of electronic music. In October 2015 they took part at the Deeperfect stage during the Amsterdam Dance Event through one of the world's top festivals: Dockyard, where they played next to the industry leading figures such as Stefano Noferini, Karotte, Julian Jeweil, Carlo Lio and Leonardo Gonnelli.
